Little Mountain Veterinary Clinic Ltd. opened in July 1995. It was originally a Large Animal Ambulatory Service started by Dr Eldon Reynolds in 1992 called Rural Lane Veterinary Services. At this time the clinic operated out of Dr Reynolds’ home. Dr Reynolds and Dr Banyard are a husband and wife team. When their home became too small for the demands of Dr Reynolds’ practice the present location was chosen and building of the clinic commenced.

We are a mixed animal practice. Dr Josephine Banyard does small animals exclusively. She graduated from the Western College Of Veterinary Medicine ( WCVM) in 1981 and has benefited from working in many different practices in B.C. and Alberta. Dr Eldon Reynolds, a 1984 graduate of WCVM, is a large animal practitioner with a special interest in Dairy and Embryo Transfer.

In 1998, Dr Kerstin Schwichtenburg, a 1998 WCVM graduate, joined our practice and has a special interest in Equine medicine. Dr Schwichtenburg bought the equine portion of the practise in 2000 and has since operated out of the premises of Little Mountain Veterinary Clinic Ltd. as Dr Kerstin Schwichtenburg Equine Services. She works part time for the Small Animal Practise to give Dr Banyard and Dr Reynolds some welcome relief. 

In 2006 Dr Schwichtenberg, having outgrown the facilities of Little Mountain Veterinary Clinic Ltd., moved to an Equine Facility in Agassiz.
